How the test works
- Finger-prick dried blood spot collected at home; no fasting.
- Measured in an accredited laboratory by isotope-dilution LC-MS/MS, the method hospital reference labs use. This is a measured number, not a 10-minute rapid strip.
- Validated on paired finger-prick and venous samples (R² 0.97). The lab takes part in the DEQAS vitamin D external quality assessment scheme.
- Results in 3–5 business days from when the lab receives the sample.
- TGA-registered collection kit, made in Australia.
